This piece of art is a mixed media painting using acrylic paints on dyed canvas. The artist made use of Uli traditional painting symbols of the Igbo found in South Eastern Nigeria. These symbolic motifs were used by women to decorate their bodies and the walls of their houses and shrines but are sparingly used today. Using them is a way of reconnecting to the painting tradition which is almost going into extinction. The title of this piece is siblings rivalry found in some families in Igbo land. Some feel favoured while others feel neglected and relegated especially where there are many daughters and sons, some are wealthy while some are not. This piece speaks against any form of unhealthy rivalry in the family and promotes love and unity.
