Hyper-realistic portrait of the famous Afghan girl immortalized by American photographer Steve McCurry. It is the central painting of my series dedicated to the eyes of famous women and the stories they have to tell and it is the only hyperralistic one because, unlike the paintings of other women that I have portrayed giving importance mainly to their eyes, Sharbat is not famous for artistic merits but it is a symbol of women and children facing war.
