Three abstract/biomorphic drawings made with scalpel on scratchboard.
This reductive technique of bringning forth the image by carving out lines with a scalpel is a way of intuitively searching for a form, an essence, hidden beneath the black surface. Thousands of thin lines create a sort of shimmer in the organic, abstract forms.
