Per la realizzazione di quest’opera ho immaginato un ipotetico futuro.
L’avanzamento tecnologico ha inevitabilmente portato grandi benefici al genere umano ma, di pari passo, sta generando un fortissimo impatto ambientale dalle conseguenze disastrose, soprattutto per gli animali.
Quello che ho voluto far trasparire da quest’opera è proprio questo conflitto tra natura e artificio : da un lato, sono rappresentate alcune tigri intente a cacciare e distruggere quelli che effettivamente potrebbero essere considerati gli uccelli del futuro(droni); dall’altro, in antitesi una tigre sta subendo una vera e propria metamorfosi, divenendo essa stessa una macchina, ricaricata elettricamente da una colonnina apposita.
Le sorti di questo conflitto sono ancora ignote, l’unica cosa certa è che la natura non se ne starà con le mani in mano.
For this piece I imagined a hypothetical future.
Technological progress has inevitably brought great benefits to mankind but, at the same time, it is having an enormous environmental impact with disastrous consequences, especially for animals.What I wanted to convey through this work is this very conflict between nature and artifice: on the one hand, there are some tigers intent on hunting and destroying what could actually be considered the birds of the future (the drones); on the other hand, in antithesis, a tiger is undergoing a real metamorphosis, turning itself into a machine, electrically recharged by a special column.
