Resurrection

I reframes images from the collective unconsciousness, transforming superheroes in hybrid creatures. Their bodies inhabited, are surrounded by a revealing emptiness. Through these mutant images, a real multiple reveals itself, mixing metaphysics, initiating quest...

I question the status of mankind, almighty in its assets and certainties. Its relation with prohibition and enjoyment. Divergences, convergences between science and religion. The machine becomes where word can be heard. God in man, man in the machine.

For the icon I paint inspired by Carl Heinrich Bloch's painting "Resurrection of Christ" introduced into the body of a humanoid hybrid. I work on wood prepared which I paint with acrylic and oil paint. I finish with gold leaf and a ring attached to the back which allows it to be hung.

For the chapel, I use the laser cutting machine to cut the pieces of wood and Plexiglas. I assemble and sticked these different elements like a model kit. An interactive electrical system allows a play of light like a pinball when a coin is inserted into a money box.

The icon hung in the chapel can be changed to another icon.

Optionally, the chapel is designed to be transportable on the back. I also combined it with a costume and a mask for artistic performances.
