The landscape and the horizon are recurring themes in my production.
This painting is part of the series ''White Red'' that presents canvases that explore the intensity of cadmium red. The distances - physical and symbolic - are suggested by the overlapping of the layers, achieving the balance between the silence of the white canvases and the dramatic red earth.
Based on linen, the canvases are prepared through a classic process that combines rabbit glue with natural elements. On the background, I apply pigments extracted from minerals, creating nuances and textures that are both complex and delicate at the same time.
