My thoughts while painting "random items":
Most of the people always want to have beautiful and mostly new things - trained by advertisment this is the only true way of real life
- to have only the newest generation of technology - to be dressed in the latest clothes of the season - than you belong - than you do not miss out on anything.
And I think most of us know that's not a respectful way to live respectfully on this planet - but yet people who know that still buy new stuffs before they need it (me included) -
carrying them in plastic bags or paper bags that are usually only used once
replace things that are still in working order, burning the earth's resources
knowing it, but not seeing it and not acting against it
that's why the person in my painting hides their head so the they cannot see and cannot be seen, by acting like this.
