Monochrome image at first impression, consists of three
layers.
The "background" is monochrome, and a layer of
chromatically brighter colors of a wider spectrum is placed on it. I calm the
contrast all the time and keeps toning the layers. I’m looking for balance, so
I use tonal scale colors.
A golden element that "moves" the image according
to the brightness, either it raises the color or pushes it into the background.
At the same time, in combination with the tonal scales used, it causes an
additional effect of dim light.
I intentionally process the background horizon and the foreground horizon separately. It gives additional dynamics to the scene, and emphasizes the story - the actor moves from one space-time to another space-time.
The effects of the stringing of all these elements of the
painting, dictate the dynamics and message of the motif: above the image of the
city, which sinks into darkness, the spruce "glows".
The rope wlker is "called" by "oldie-music"
from radio receiver, the Silhouette of a ballerina is present, but it may be
just an illusion or the spirit of a past mankind, illusion of a past time. The
acrobat rises above the silent, empty streets of the city. He sets out on an
uncertain goal – higher and forward, which may be backwards at the same time, or
is it the direction in a moment of a warm homeliness, homeliness of known sound,
color and smell from the past.
The only thing a rope walker has in his hands with certainty
and therefore he is convinced, is that the green tree is real. Because he
believes in it (even though it is pulled out, which indicates a slight
skepticism that it may all be an illusion, or that it may be too late), it
serves him as a balance, as a signpost, as an attribute along the way.
