In an effort to subjugate nature and expand opportunities, human passed the way from a campfire to modern light LEDs, making our life round-the-clock. Artificial light has become a symbol of artificial life created by man in seeking safety and comfort. Light creates bizarre shapes hides what should be hidden, emphasizes the sharp corners and chaos of familiar things. Electricity creates a new unnatural habitat in which I try to find beauty and harmony and depict a fragile intimate world, with which is close to me. This painting is made on this topic.
It was 2020 New Year's holidays, we were celebrated it with our friends and, as always, argued about art, drinking puer instead of champagne out of solidarity with Eva. On the table were tartlets with red caviar - the main dish that I remember. But by the time the painting done, they had already been eaten)) We were engaged in a dialogue, and suddenly I saw that Eva was sitting thoughtfully, immersed in herself and was stroking her tummy. And then I thought for the first time how much our life would change soon. And now, looking at this painting and remembering myself thoughts, I understand that I could not even imagine the size of this new little happiness. That our son will be born.
The paintings are made in oil, canvas, digital.
