The parallel gardens are spaces of
freedom, inbetween those many geometrical shapes that enclose us and trap us.
The picture comes out as 15th in a series of paintings called TREDISMO, a
technique that I have experimented and innovated, inspired by paintings by
artists that use a lot of relief. At the end of 2018 I started experimenting
with strong reliefs on hard panel, and in the middle of the following year I
made the first three-dimensional painting on canvas. The first painting was
made with a sponge cube. Treated sponge is ideal for canvas effect, giving soft
consistency and texture to the piece. While looking at the cube I was thinking
of a name, and the word "cubism" came to mind - but I certainly
couldn't use this name. Cubist paintings are works in two dimensions, while
this painting of mine developed in three dimensions: here was born the name
TREDISMO.
PRATI PARALLELI
I prati paralleli sono spazi di libertà tra le tante forme geometriche (le
figure blu) che ci intrappolano e ci rinchiudono.
