"Pietra" is an oil and acrylic on canvas 100x100.
The woman in the figure would be the image I have of myself while painting from the point of view of the canvas. It is an image of a granite power, with the gray of the stone and the red of the lava and blood. Inspired by Pavese's poem "You have a carved stone face" which for me has a very autobiographical meaning, I felt the need to represent the mineral power that pervades me during my creative sessions.
