Pandemic, symbolizes transcendence. It is a work created during the Covid-19 quarantine. I began to wonder what the virus could mean, establishing relationships be-tween the name (Corona-virus), and what it was affecting on all levels: humanitarian, social, economic and cons-cientious.The idea of the painting was born from the image of the Pantokrátor. The external frame of black and white squa-res represents the duality. Christ is centered, with his eyes on the sky and his feet on the ground. The figure of Christ is a self-portrait to integrate this energy into myself. I open my hands and my chest like someone who opens my heart. It is framed in a Vesica Pisces, a figure that evokes both birth and interconnection, and multiplies in the flowers of life in the sky of the painting, forming a har-monious network of equidistant stars, which symbolizes human beings united by our hearts .The four figures are the four elements; contingency. Pandemic is a metaphor of transcendence in which our being leaves the world of contingency to get born in our divine dimension, a world in which we remind ourpower, strength, wisdom and beauty, our eternality, and in which we transcend the World to become connected with everything from ourhearts.Through this work, I have been able to interpret this moment as an opportunity to become aware, to overcome fear and pain and to have the certainty that by becoming aware of our crown and our power, we are capable of overcoming any crisis. This painting is a wish of light for the whole world.
