Ritmica, interiore, movente, all’insegna

Over the hill
That
is what happens when observation comes from a distance, from the concept,
moving away from details, remaining clotted, harnessed by long and extended
brush strokes. That is how this artist creates paintings that are on the edge
between immanence, physicality, description and transcendence, separation,
abstraction. She feels, looking for the limit between concept and reality. It
is known that progress in the search for nature is endless, however, the
painter focuses in the thin space between reality and imagination, without
shading in clouds and dusts of colours, but rather materializing in undulations
made of flat surfaces, plains and
expanses. Some of her works come from the warm, sunny, veiled southern
Mediterranean sea and lead to a limitless border where there is something you
cannot completely see and reach. You can glimpse lines, sketches, flatbeds,
places where nature becomes sea, land, fields, but, at the same time, stratum
and substratum. So, her “nature” is neither atmospheric nor a landscape where
“you want to go in and have a walk”. It is rather a meditation on the deep
essence of nature herself. A meditation that the painter brings to the
attention using a light that crosses shadows and layers of colours, a light
that expands and concentrates with wavy and amazing movements. It is a
rhythmic, inner, moving light that gives breath and represents the cyclic
nature of things and living creatures. The artist holds together ideas with
colours, shaped in drawings that chase images_sensations. She is inspired by
the perceptible world seen from below, from the substratum, the magma movements
that cause the march of time and Earth, trying to give the idea of movement and
cycles without simply copying the natural world.
