The dragon image rising from a twisting, turning flower, is part of my series of oil pastel works of disintegrating flowers with anthropomorphic references, drawn or painted the size of human beings. It's combined with the Hebrew "ohr" (light); a capitol word from a manuscript scribed in Florence, 1492. I’m fascinated by flowers when they drop, decomposing, returning to the earth.
