POLIPTIC MATRIX SERIES
Polyptych composed of five paintings (acrylic) where visual typologies of Oaxacan culture and identity are combined to create a new type of image, which refers to the previous ones, but at the same time is an extension and something new.
The work that he postulates proposes to address a visual reflection based on a series of paintings in relation to the subjective meaning of “Oaxacan visual identity” through symbolic elements of popular culture and crafts.
The project proposes a treatment from the visual form of certain cultural expressions in order to, through their modification, make conscious the meanings of each one so that they can be questioned, resignified, reformulated, reappropriated, etc.
