There is an iconic character of the Rio beaches, the iced matte seller, a type of Brazilian iced tea sold in cups, taken straight from the steel gallon he carries while shouting "maaaaaaateeeee" (and sometimes other fancy things) to attract his customers.
An urban legend developed around this character: Where does he keeps his flip flops, used to walk in the streets, while walking barefoot in the sand? Would the flip flops be the mysterious spice responsible for the "beach matte´s unique flavor", should they are really kept inside the matte gallon???
A mystery that remains unsolved...
