Notturni

Since my presentation page is already substantial, here I will just add some brief technical information about my artwork.

In the Notturni series, which began in 2012, the concept of writing, in the gesture repeated until the exhaustion of the ink of the ballpoint pens, until the extreme saturation of the sheet, as if to solicit its physical limits, is only apparently an obsessive practice. It actually reveals a ritual, which is also physical and mental exercise, of meditated wisdom and concentrated dedication, which transcends every aspect of instinctive randomness. This methodical practice results in very full and smooth surfaces where the single stroke practically disappears.The metallic and mineral color, accumulating in infinite traces that imitate an intimate and personal writing, determines original chromatic depths, oscillating between the advance of darkness and the emergence of a very deep and imperceptible light.
