Five portraits of immigrants and a mask from the Venice carnival. The latter refers to Leghist politician Matteo Salvini, of whom one of his famous racist phrases is reproduced. The six paintings were designed to be displayed individually, but after that externalization the artist decided to assemble them into a single frame. The topic of immigration-racism is one of the hottest of our time, but beyond the stereotypical slogans with which election campaigns are won, the painting attempts to overcome the generalized view of diversity as a disruptive danger in order to bring it back into the fold of the richness of humankind. Good reflection!
