The purpose of my work is related to the final aim of 'landscaping' the instant of man in his everydaylife as if one could stop and visualize bad confusing interferences affecting constantly human mind.
The natural, intime sphere and identity of an individual get silently torn apart by thin caustic arrows representing confused deeds and noises modern life constantly opposes to instinctual subjective existance. These are shown in my works as stratified straight and sharp lines as both visual and acoustic features as a result of cahotic conventional daily deeds affecting our lives ngatively.
The project for Arte Laguna prize -ARS section- is based on unexpected results recycled sandpaper can lead to when employed for artistic purposes. Assembled to raw and poor materials with peculiar tactile affinity with it as color schoolchalks, sandpaper can reach interesting results.
The main material employed in my works is therefore recycled high-dimension CARPENTER SANDPAPER usually destined to waste. It is then treated with waterpaint and attached on 3mm thin woodtable. Once perfectly dried i intervene with coloured schoolchalks or pieces of construction bricks used as chalks, tracing straight lines on the surface of the sandpaper and fixing it with final spray.
Sometimes to trace deeper lines on the support compressed air gun may be used; it removes tiny wood settlements paper may contain on its surface as a result of professional use: so doing darker lines are traced by subtraction.
