Nightcall 05 is a vibrant painting, in emerald and bluish tones, whose color is revealed thanks to the different intensities of black, very present in the painting. The color, fundamental, deposited upstream, is revealed in the different white interstices. I worked with the batik technique, an ancestral process dedicated to textile printing which means "wax writing". This allows me to paint with reserves of white. I work in watercolor on handmade Japanese paper, which absorbs ink like a sponge.
