This body of work pay tribute to all the saddened African families communities, but also to us pandemic's survivors who have struggled until nowadays, victim in many ways, certain lost something very special in their lives, jobs, business, freedom, contract etc...
The pandemic has not only upset our cultural daily lives, but also our funeral rites in many African countries. In Africa, funerals normally take place on weekends.
Family members and other mourners come from all over the country, hold night vigils and wash the body and hundreds of people may attend the funeral but because of the death toll, government restrictions that limit the number of mourners to 50. It only takes one funeral for 40 people to be infected with the coronavirus. A contribution of a total change contrary to our rituals to cultural custom to commemorate our loved ones.
