This body work is based on the reverberation that greek mythology has on our modern culture.
With a mixture of techniques made of liquid brushstrokes and silver gilding, D.G represent some mythological figures, parts of fading or eroded architecture, even common ornaments or pottery items.
Usually these are common object depicting a scene of the myth and each of these figures retain a sense of fading history and passing of time, which makes these archetypes even more present to us.
If the classics are great it is not because they embody some simplistic nobility of thought and beauty in form, but because, precisely thanks to their dark complexity, they continue to speak to us in new ways, pushing us to reread them at the very moment in which we question our way of interpreting them.
