The concept behind the artwork "Mirage" is born from the overflow of thoughts that constantly flood my mind. To such an extent that it becomes difficult to keep track of them, as new ones arrive at every moment, overshadowing the ones that came before. These thoughts transform into mirages, illusions. The boundary with reality becomes blurred, as daydreams intertwine with the waking world, making it challenging to remain fully grounded in reality.
With "Mirage," I aimed to depict the torrents of thoughts that swirl within my mind, a phenomenon that likely resonates with many. It's both tranquil and disconcerting, reflecting an anxious state of mind, often revealing inner turmoil.
Much like the ebb and flow of the sea, the artwork captures the constant motion of these thoughts – a beautiful yet tumultuous phenomenon. It serves as a reminder of the ever-turning tide within the human mind, and how, just like the sea, it can be simultaneously calming and turbulent, unveiling the complexities of our inner worlds.
