"MEMORIES" is a panel
of 9 paintings: each one is the mental map of a particular memory. The
inspiration for this work came to me when I realized that in my mind the
memories appear as little 'windows' that suddenly open, showing a panorama of
images with all the mental connections that those scenes arouse. They are like
paths of thought that lead from one event to another, and tye them together in
a network of meanings. Painting each
panel, I tried to retrace those paths and give an image of the neural network
they activated. The color symbolically corresponds to my state of mind to that
memory: pensive, serene, sometimes a little nostalgic...
