The canvas represents the reversal of the myth of Medusa and Perseus, in which the gorgon wins after the attempted abuse. The theme of revenge is quite recurrent in my production. In this case, I used the oil color in an even more material and different way in the various subjects. The search for a stylistic and coloristic harmony is fundamental to unite all the elements of the painting. This work can be linked to a tradition of classical myths in which the beheading is often present, but in this case, declined in a contemporary key.
