The passion fruit ("Maracujá" in Portuguese) is well known in Brazil by its natural capacity of providing peace, calm and relaxation, as some types of Jazz does.
The artist merged both names "Maracujá" and "Jazz" and started the creation process of this painting from the naming "Maracujazz", as if the half part of the passion fruit was a loudspeaker with the music flowing from its seeds.
This was the first painting the artist produced in 2017, after joining Parque Lage´s schoool of visual arts and also the name of the artist´s music group, "The Maracujazz Musical Brotherhood", where he plays bass, being thus an important milestone to his art.
