I try to paint something that has a meaning for me, I always paint only if I feel an emotion related to the work. Lately I've been painting my vision of Venice, usual people taking the waterbus, usual moments that hide something deep, a misterious feeling. I wan to use painting to understand nature and try to recreate that feeling. I hope I can recreate that emotion with my work so others can understand it. I also hope that my paintings will tell the story of my city from the point of view of the citizens, almost like a diary for every venetian who can recognize not only the places I paint but also him/herself.
