Love Letters To Leonardo # 3

I am interested in bringing awareness to things lost to time or in a state of Becoming. Inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci's drawings of sacred geometry, this work forms part of a series of work that became a love letter to Leonardo in my own visual language. This work is created using a process of layering a photographic image over a hand drawn Platonic form, which is created as a result of repeated action and deep contemplation thereby creating a veil as a metaphor for spiritual transformation. The viewer's point of view also puts the work in transition, creating a meeting point where the two states come together. This combination of drawings, collage, photography and painted elements on top of as well as underneath a suspended plexiglass layer makes the two dimensional work take on three dimensional qualities.
