This is the night view from Punta della Dogana to San Marco and Castello in Venice. When I was an exchange student in Venice, although the rented house was in Castello, I always liked to walk to Punta della Dogana and sat there quietly watching the bright lights on the other side of the canal. The side of Punta della Dogana looked lonely and silent as my confused state of mind at the time. I always thought: everyone else is full of joy, why am I the only one so depressed? But I would think again: when I go back, will someone look at me on the other side from here, thinking that I am also a member of the hustle and bustle?
