This
are handmade collages, made by hand with scraps of paper on
a wooden support.
They are abstract visions, graphical
compositions which suggest
landscapes and metaphysical worlds.
The colors
(blu, white, red) suggest the flag of France, a symbol of freedom.
Four words (spit, burp, cry, smile) provocatively invite the
spectator to interact freely with the picture. In this way, the
pictures became interactive.
The
strips of paper (from magazines and newspapers) that create the image, are used as true brushstrokes
of color, so that the final picture, at a first impression, appears
as if it was actually painted, and only by approaching, you can
notice the texture of the cut-outs.
The
effect is fascinating, the overlapping papers keep transparencies and
shades, details and piecies of writings, that can be glimpsed and
give depth and complexity to the composition.
