My art was born in the streets and tunnels of the subway, it is based on the evolution of letters founded by the graffiti school, born in the seventies in the suburbs of New York. After more than twenty-five years of career, I have created my own style, thanks to which I have created letters with a dynamic and personal style. My graffiti on subway trains all over Europe and New York has led me to create works of art in motion. So I decided to bring my letters to traditional media such as canvases. In this work I wanted to represent the letter S, one of my favorites as it is part of my graffiti writer name (SAND). The letter, like the others that make up my name, was born and evolved in urban environments in close contact with people. So I decided to blend the letter with the familiar environment and what better setting than the subway station of New York city. As during rush hour, the hustle and bustle of the people and the fast pace of the trains embody this letter. On the trains at the station you can see my graffiti, similar to the one I made on the New York subway in 2003. The letter S painted in blue is the cross-section of the terrain and its three-dimensionality, painted in yellow tones, depicts the various underground levels of the subway station.
