THE HUALIEN CABINS
Graphite on paper and screen tone, triptych 21x25 cm, 2019, Corène Caubel.
This series of drawings focus on the discovery of a campground of makeshift shacks built by fisherman on a sand bank in Hualien, Taiwan, in 2017.
Made by fishermen and set up in a camp on a sandbank for eel fishing, whose resources are dwindling. These constructions are made of bamboo, driftwood, ropes, sandbags, canvas, advertising tarpaulins, etc.
