Learning To See.

There are things that meet the eye and then there is a lot that evades us. This painting is my attempt to visualize things that do evade us. The emotions, the contrast as clear as the streets in Venice during quarantine, the hope and the mystical, the everything.

Its about learning to see what the eyes do not see.

This work is an experiment from the textures of an old oil painting of mine. The browns and ochres in the oil painting eluded me for a long time. I browsed through pictures of this painting (long sold) and was pleasantly surprised at the obvious. I had to put it on canvas, which transformed in to Experiment IV.

Each time I revisit this painting that is currently on my wall, I see a new thing in it and I hope the viewers will have same experience.
