LE STAGE DE FOOTBALL

This painting is part of the « SPORTS » series. This theme shows groups of people in sport practice. Sport is an activity which know’s a particular increase during the 20th century that continues during the 21th century as a part of our daily routine, as a sportsman or a spectator. The group represented on this painting was photographed in the 30’s. I worked from the black and white photograph and I imagined the men’s attitude, the colour of their clothes, the atmosphere of the gymnasium.
