In this work, the artist suggests another vision of the sacred. The figure of Our Lady is in a cut in the canvas, suggesting a grotto. Recycled materials, plaster, fabric, rosaries, a mirror and gold leaf on the wood, form texture and movement in this dramatic scene of pain of a mother watching the last minutes of her son's life. The mirror introduces and reflects the scene to the viewer. The gold reflects this moment of spiritual ascent, seeking a sacred baroque reference in a contemporary look.
