The way of the Swan
Represented as a symbol of grace and eternal love, the swan also knows how to show its primitive and reptilian side.
Here the constellation of the swan acts as a bridge, or conjunction, between the two opposite forms of love hidden among the foliage.
On the left the Quetzacoatlus, a pterosaur that takes its name from the already dualistic Aztec god (feathered serpent, therefore earth but also of the sky) symbol of death and resurrection, represents passionate, primordial, physical love; the one dictated by the instincts and which sometimes clouds the mind and the vision of reality making us carried away by the needs of the body.
On the other side there is a cherub, detached from the physical plane and its impulses, embodies the purest loves that elevate mind and soul.
A serotonin molecule appears next to both, one below the figure and the other at the same height, and represents the pleasure that both can bring but also the different elevation that the two paths have.
With these subjects I created a sort of symbolic evolutionary path, from the terrestrial to the ethereal, in which the swan personifies the aspects of the two different archetypes in balance, manifesting internal and external characteristics in common between the pterodactyl and the angel.
