The work, it is cast, like a bait, on the viewer. It's a trap. However, the artist, as the first spectator, has to use what he knows about the habits of the animal he intends to hunt. He recalls those habits himself, for he too shares a common master with his prey. He himself falls into the trap. It is the first to fall.
