The image consists of three basic layers.
On the monochrome layer, which is the
"background", a layer of chromatically brighter colors of a wider
spectrum is placed. The color flicker, the tone and the whole, I equalize all
the time, I only use half the contrasts. I am looking for a balanced feeling of
color, I am adding colors in the tonal range - this way it creates a dim light.
For the moderation of the expression of the whole, I also use
"architectural" forms, which, confuse the spatial sense and also create
a motif when closed spaces pass into the outside and vice versa.
The golden element is the third layer, like a kind of
"graphic foil". It changes the image according to the angle of light,
and it technically moves colors and
spaces either in the foreground or in the background. It strengthens the motif
of duality - what is outside, what is inside.
I distort the perspective, close the horizon and even avoid
it, which gives the impression of "Japanese spacing" in the picture.
The technical way of painting the picture creates a motif: a
lady in a green dress wants to get through the window - probably inside the
building - because the fish pool and the facade of the building point to the
outside space and because the warm light of home shines through the window.
Maybe this same space is inside - still life with a pumpkin and kitchen
furniture, they point to the interior space, and the gentleman on the bike
under the traffic light is outside on the road. Although- is this really a road-
because it leads “out of nowhere”?
And last but not
least, is it really relevant what is inside or outside? But perhaps the only
thing that matters is: in a healthy body with a healthy mind, prudently, in the
right direction - like an old man on a bicycle riding against the nature.
