This painting is on a re-purposed poly/cotton window blind. The scroll like appearance of the original blind led me to consider Asian Scroll painting. Looking at Classical Chinese painting including scrolls I noticed subject matter like bridges, trees, animals and clouds. After spending time in New Zealand in 2017 I looked at photos I had taken of a swing bridge over a river. I was inspired to use this bridge, a big cat and an asian jade tree as subjects to paint in a scroll like composition.
