Interwoven Flight is based on the emotional expression of me, the artist. Sharing intimate feelings through colour, I attempt for once to be extremely optimistic in both my thinking and painting. Through the story you can see process expressed into words and the consequences that show even in optimism and the brightest of colours, it is almost impossible to completely ignore the effects of past actions, memories and choices.
Accompanying Short Story.
I spread my wings,
my imagination flying wild. Intentions pure, I emerge anew, excited by the
white horizons before me. It's a clean slate, a new start. I needed one of
those. With relief I soar across the brilliant white sky watching my wings
colour it with golden light. I release my happiness, hope and excitement into
the sky as I turn, dive and glide. I share my inner fire, my burning passion
splashes across to all my wings touch.
Inspired by a peaceful mind from being freed from the
past, I share the gentle and calm ocean blue. Back and forth I fly, my scales
reflecting my moments of shared feeling. Mindfully, I share only the good, the
positive strength that I know I have within. I am free of my earthly
restraints. Bold, beautiful, I bask in the sky. Diving through my reflected
positivity. Unrestrained and light I am free to be my strongest, best self. The
freedom is intoxicating.
Then I take a look
back. It is bittersweet. My past has coloured the sky. The turns and layers
show my subconscious imperfections overlapping, consuming the light. Dark
painful reality taints and bleeds over. Sunset falls.
