The painting represents the corner of a room, mainly a wall, on which the sunset light is about to end, projecting shadows well delineated from the window frame, there is a hanging box that in turn shows the image of a boat. In the upper right is the perspective window, the glass is visible and in the background the fragment of the city (Medellín).
The light we see is that of the city in which I live. The city that has been foreign at other times is slowly showing. It is Medellín, a beautiful and chaotic city, with bright colors and direct lights. The wall is wider because the interest is also enlarging in the format. That is why the work was born from the interest of linking the city I inhabit with the interior. That is why the question remains for loneliness, for the emptiness for the ephemeral and praise is made at a minimum present moment: the moment in which that light shines on the wall is valuable in itself. As shown in the history of Vermeer, Hammershoi and Hooper. in the same way the existence reflection continues: who we are in that future. And it highlights the charm of abstract elements, the precise composition and the need to make the light and air of the painting beautiful. This work is representative of my work in the set of intentions mentioned because it tries to give with minimal elements a sense of fullness and to praise the job of looking and painting.
