"Ingrain" is unique in that I fell in love with the grain of the wood panel and debated over several weeks whether to gesso the panel, as I had with previous paintings. In the end, I decided to keep the natural grain and left some exposed in their natural beauty. I poured my fascination with nature's endless cycles into bold, swirling oil colors. Each stroke is a rhythmic dance of emotion, reflecting life's vibrant ebb and flow. As well, during my period of reflection, I continued working on other panels and used its reverse side to create Derivative Art, or my version of using left over oils to play and move with the flow of excess paint on my brushes. Designed to provoke thought and stir the soul, this painting exudes an energy that revitalizes and inspires every space it inhabits.SHOW LESS
