In ictu oculi is a painting by Juan de Valdés Leal made around 1671 and means in Latin "in the blink of an eye". A vanity whose name I wanted to use to evoke a still life and highlight the elements that make up the space in this cloistered setting. A vision of collapse in which the skull has a predominant place due to its existence as the only figurative element, the rest is only dust, pieces of flesh, drops and puddles of blood.
