In this work, the theme of the double arises, where there is something that is shown on the surface and something 'hidden' or simply that you don't want to see underwater, which for me represents a mysterious and unknown world.
In this case, I wanted to highlight the environmental theme, after several fires in the last couple of years (2020-2021) that have particularly affected me.
On the surface there is an island that is on fire, but at the same time it represents the back of a turtle (from land) that is underwater. The fact that this turtle is in a different context from its usual one means that other animal and plant species change their behaviour according to human action. But do we change our behaviour according to the needs of other species? Finally, all the 'weight' of environmental problems is carried by this animal because man seems to be indifferent to them and does nothing to change this situation. These seem to be problems without resolution that are being laughed at with indifference. Are we really so blind to such obviousness?
