Inspired by the human
existence and its meaning, Biserka’s paintings during past decade were
emphasizing the emotions of the characters, with strong contrasts.
Recently, shadows started
to develop their own life in her paintings. A physical abstracted shadow, as
well as a Jungian shadow, shadow play and shadow work are symbols of everything
that the human being carries on the inside, conglomerate of all the invisible
threads everyone has as unique as a fingerprint.
Illusion Waves paintings
are made with the serene abstracted rolling hills landscapes in the background
strongly contrasted with the dynamism of the human figure in the foreground.
They subtly invite viewers to reflect on themes
of eternity, resilience, limitless potential and the boundless nature of the
human experience
