We are used to life, mainly in the Western society that with colonialism absorbed an huge part of the world, where for being happy we need to consume, to exploit others and finally we aren't satisfied, happy. Why? We are not used to express emotions, to ask and wonder on life, since we were children’s. I see at first mine experience, I'm afraid of losing past, I feel I don't belong with who I were. I want humans and children first to love themselves and life, also if they feel not philosophers, everyone has a different way of wondering. Contemplating, observing, and sharing are useful actions. Every thing that makes you feel sense is useful.
I love figurative (not only figurative) art, for colours and shapes, at first, because is something I love to play with and see. But when I see stories, ideas, beyond imagines my mind blows, I feel connections, intersectionality of fights and passions; belonging and freedom.
My works are concentrate mainly on people, on a rebirth of awareness is their gazes, of wonder and emotions. I observe the complicated mind and soul of humans and the strong, fragile, gorgeous, simple world they are part of, the beauty and the fear that moves everything.
This piece portraits my brother as a child. He isn't amazed by life, he hasn't passions, questions. A yellow light “shadows” him. He open his eyes, and my sister criticisms must stop. Life is waiting for him.
The edges are painted red.
