“Surrounded by darkness yet enfolded in light”―Alan Brennert,Moloka'i
The intention was to create a play of lights and shadows,a light over anything, that
portrait the hope; plants are alive and cling, they squeeze, moves over the death (represented by skulls),they
fight against it and gives it more shape and meaning;plants are about to grow more and more making death less relevant, making it representing a past where life wasn't there, but now life is present through those growing plants.
Those two skulls, that are of a cat and of a penguin, pictures the variety of animals that
will be hit by extinction, like a common one and the already endangered one; the title
should have been 'high extinction rate',but it didn't picture what I really meant.
