Material: Burnt wood and fluorescent paint on 117 cm in diameter canvas.
This is the first work of my new body of work exploring the complexity that mediates our body and
the exterior - the exteriorization of our body and the internalization of our exterior.
The Amazon fire was an atrocity of human errors. While the human lungs are in place of the toucan's body as the interdependence of humans and the environment, the burnt wood is to invoke the burnt rain forest and cow spots.
It can be viewed in blacklight or daylight as seen in the top and bottom images respectively.
