Title: Hidden Gems 2 - I have a story to tell 

Concept: This artwork represents stories of LGBTQ+ members from our society, echoing the themes of respect, hope, and the enduring light of authenticity shining through.Born and raised in a conservative religious society in Bangladesh, growing up as a gay child was a profound challenge. I loved playing with dolls instead of cricket or soccer. From school to the playground, I endured relentless bullying for not conforming to traditional expectations.

I feel society aims to encase people like us in plaster, much like one would cover a brick wall. They often attempt to force us into a traditional box, as we stand out from those around us. It hurts and causes suffering, but over time, our true authenticity shines through.

While the world we now inhabit is considerably more accepting than before, the societal issues persist, as many still resist accepting the unfamiliar and the new.This series serves as a testament that no matter how fiercely society attempts to stifle, deny, or conceal the novel and unfamiliar, authenticity and truth will ultimately break free and shine through
