This artwork was created in may this year during the COVID-19 lockdown, when I came right back from Latin America and realized whats going on. At the beginning I really did not know how I should deal with it. I just wanted to freak out on anything, no matter on what. After I haven't done anything artistic the months before (whats especially for me a long time without), I grabbed a piece of raw and uncollected canvas and some brushes. First I wanted to create a divided society. Unfortunately that was my biggest fear according to the pandemic, among many dead people.
But as soon as I started with painting, I knew that I only need to play with different colors, textures and see what happens.
So Honestly, there is no exact concept behind. I just needed to get rid off the emptiness which was filling up myself. Thats why this painting is so important to me and as well a big reason why I chose it for my application. Because even in dark times, when everything seems so unpredictable. there are always many pathways of opportunities. This is what that work of art means to me.
